As a matter of fact, it was front page news item in the local newspaper. The headline ran "Wait is hot, but iPhone is hotter." The story detailed the "massive" demand and hullabaloo. The associated picture showed "swarming" crowds (about 6 people)waiting in front of the store where the iPhone was being sold. They were "clamoring" for the phone (by showing up a whole hour before the store opened), camping out (sitting in folding chairs), and "braving" the "extreme temperatures" (or 85 degrees) and "blazing" sun (it was 10 am and I'm from Texas...I know blazing sun...it doesn't exist here).
