You really just need to move to Chicago already!

I still owe y'all a blog post about the Wine & Story event I attended last month at Webster Wine Bar, which included a wine flight and five different storytellers---one of whom was Billy Lombardo. He read his story "The Hills of Laura," which, aside from the slight discomfort I felt listening to descriptions of "Laura's breasts," was side-splittingly funny and deeply tender.

You got to see Billy Lombardo? SO. JEALOUS.

The Green Mill's the birthplace of slam. I keep meaning to go up and take a look sometime, but I'm pretty far removed from those days. :)

Tell your mom that gay cats rule, and that I'm sure Snuggles was absolutely horrified that he left red stains on her white carpet. Probably traumatized him more than her. But if you can lay your hands on his address book, you will find that it contains the names of three excellent carpet cleaners, all of whom will be on his cell phone's speed dial.
